our mother's/father's day present

we have two computers. one is john's work computer and the other one is john's computer from college (he graduated in 2001...it's old!). i thought it was time for a new one so i casually mentioned to john that i wanted a laptop. i gave him my best sales pitch and backed it up with very good reasons why i thought we needed one. he didn't by it.

months passed. i still hinted that i wanted a laptop every so often. nothing happened....until, he asked me what i thought about getting one of these:



at first, i was a little hesitant. i wanted a traditional laptop. but then we started researching them and talking to people who had one and i was convinced. and after playing with it all day today (that is a bit of an exaggeration...i have two kids that i had to take care of today and i also had to help my mom with my latest attempt of being crafty and thrifty...more details on that later) i'm so glad he did.

i'm in LOVE! :)
