my mother's day weekend started off friday night with our church's mother/daughter banquet. we had a delicious meal and were entertained by a harpist. it was a nice, relaxing evening that i was able to spend with my grandma, mom, sister, and of course, kenna!
(don't mind the dark circles under my eyes...that's just a sign that i love my little girl and am up all hours of the night with her! :) )
i'm so thankful for my own mother and the sacrifices she made for me and my siblings throughout our childhood. we didn't have a lot of money growing up, but my mom would give up the things she needed/wanted to make sure we had everything we needed. she supported us and loved us unconditionally. she is a tremendous help with kenna and greyson and loves them so much. she can't stand going more than a day without seeing them and loving on them. i love this about her! i talk to my mom everyday and she has become one of my best friends. i know my mom doesn't read my blog (she's technically challenged...but we're working on changing this :) ) but i just want to say that i love her very much and i'm soooo thankful for her!
mother's day was extra fun for me this year because greyson was actually excited about it. he made me the flower and cactus pots at church and was SOOOO EXCITED to give them to me. he also made me the sweet little card at church. seeing his excitement made my heart melt. i just love that little boy!
lastly, happy mother's day to all you amazing mother's out there. being a mommy is amazing and challenging all at the same time but i wouldn't trade it for anything in the world!
