baby shower gift

the month of may is full of celebrations for us. i have 1 baby shower, 2 wedding showers, 1 wedding, and two children's birthday parties to attend this month. i love celebrating with people and who doesn't like personalized gifts!?! i was inspired by http://icandyhandmade.blogspot.com/2011/04/mini-tut-burp-cloths.html and http://homemadebyjill.blogspot.com/2009/02/wipes-clutch-tutorial.html to make burp cloths and a wipe cover for a little boy who is going to make his arrival in three(ish) weeks!

the wipes cover was super easy. the burp cloths were a little more challenging. i used my cricut for the lettering and followed the tutorial for the most part. since i don't know how to sew i had to ask my mom to do it. i didn't get the right heat n bond so it was more challenging for her to sew the letters on. we were inventive though and used double sided scrapbook tape to hold the letters in place. the next time i do this, it should be much easier because i learned from my mistakes! :)

i love how they turned out and i hope willem's mom enjoys them as much as i do (i made some with girly fabric for kenna too)! i have an idea for the upcoming wedding shower and if it turns out right, i'll share my creations with you!
