when the boys are away...

the girls come to play! :) john went fishing this weekend so tara and rachael ventured to nappanee to spend the day with me. it's wonderful when you can get together with people and not feel like you have to entertain and you can just be. i think the kids helped with that because most of our day was spent chasing the two little active ones, kenley and jacob. they are at that fun age where they aren't scared of you and can communicate on some sort of level. of course there was also greyson and jarrett to entertain as well, although they are much easier or at least less draining because we didn't have to chase them!

after all four kids had their naps we headed up to the park to get some pictures. i didn't get to take too many of greyson because it was already time for him to take another nap. the sun was also bright which made him squint so i finally gave up and he fell asleep in his stroller. jacob and kenley were constantly on the move which made it hard to get any super shots, but we still had fun. after the park we went to mcdonalds and had ice cream. then we realized that it was supper time so we ate supper. soooo....we like to eat dessert first! :) overall it was a wonderful day!

i'm so thankful for the time i got to spend with tara, jacob, rachael, kenley, and jarrett. we got this shot right before leaving the park...pretty good for having four kids under the age of two in it! i had to wake greyson up...so he's not very happy, but it's still cute!
