gfs annual meeting

john and i always get to have a night away in december thanks to john's annual business meeting/christmas party.  it's something we look forward to every year because it's not too often we get to spend a whole 24 hours together (without kids yet to boot).

the afternoon started off with john winning an award.  he wasn't expecting it and was surprised when he was called up on stage.  he won the grocery/bakery award (i know, sounds silly doesn't it.  but i guess when you sell food all these categories matter). apparently he sold a bunch of flour.  gotta love those amish customers. ha!

after the not so fun portion of the meeting, we were treated to an amazing meal and then provided with a night of entertainment.  we loved, loved the concert by matt kearney.  he was so good.  then we went to the comedy show, which we thought would be really good because it was larry miller who has played lots of parts on many movies(10 things i hate about you (he played the dad), the nutty professor, and many more along with appearances on snl).  we sat through most of it, but he wasn't really that funny at all.  despite feeling bad, we finally decided we couldn't take it anymore and left.  we also watched an ice sculptor, enjoyed some games in the arcade room, and indulged in many of the food/dessert stations.

can't believe i forgot to take off my name tag since i just reminded john to take off his...oh well!

we are very thankful for the gordon family and what they stand for and believe in.  they treat their employees so well and we appreciate everything they do for us!

How fun! And your shirt is adorable (minus the nametag!). :)
