{christmas fun}

on wednesday night we took the kids to the nursing home to sing songs from their musical and to spread a little christmas cheer.  they did a good job and seemed to have fun.  they also passed out ornaments that they made to each resident. greyson got to ride on a school bus for the first time and thought he was pretty big stuff.  i just love how excited he gets over the small things!  jill did a fabulous job planning this act of service for our wednesday night kids.  

 today we had family christmas number two with grandpa glenn and grandma georgia.  we went to ponderosa for lunch and then back to their house to open gifts.  they got the kids a box full of one dollar bills.  i wish i had my camera out when they opened the boxes because they were so excited.  greyson started throwing his.  too fun! of course, kenna had to get some ty-ty lovin' in. 

 when we got home, greyson had a letter in the mail from...santa!  i sent a letter a while back with a return envelope, but wasn't too sure about getting a response back.  sure enough, it came today.  greyson was thrilled.  i love the picture where john is reading it to him-you can just see joy written all over his face.

 we ended our busy day with some frosting fun.  greyson made christmas trees and kenna just ate the frosting off her cookie instead of spreading it around.  i adore these two kids.
