have you ever heard a song on the radio that caused you to take a trip down memory lane? if you are anything like me, i'm sure you have. music can stir up so much and often is tied to some sort of emotion, memory, etc.
a few weeks before christmas break i heard a new song on the radio and instantly knew it had to be a dave barnes song. hearing his voice took me back to my college days, which i treasure so much. we would go to any show of his that was in the indianapolis area...and it was so much fun! now it isn't just his songs, singing ability, or shows (even though he is amazing) that made those nights special, but the memories i have with the friends i went with.
it seems so hard to stay in contact with every person who has impacted your life at some point or another, but it's these memories that help you remember just how special certain people are in your life.
tonight, i'm thankful for music and late college nights traveling to churches, coffee houses, and other venues to hear dave barnes, and the memories i have with my friends! if you haven't ever heard of him, google him...his new christmas album was amazing and got lots of use this holiday season!

i love how music can take us back, especially times with good friends! definitely a fan of dave barnes...even today. good stuff. hope you find that picture. would be great to see those you thought of. love you...m.e.
What a fun time!!! College memories are so fun! It is neat that even though we don't get to see our College group as much as we would like too, the special connection is always there! So glad you have great memories!
