this Christmas...

i felt blessed beyond measure but my mind was somewhere else.

i was thinking about those who buried their four month old daughter because she suffered from a tumor on her brain.
i was thinking about those who didn't have a family to celebrate with.
i was thinking about the man we saw get arrested on Christmas Eve and the sorrow I saw in his face.
i was thinking about those who lost a parent this year.
i was thinking of those who had no place to keep warm.
i was thinking about those who don't know where their next meal would come from.
i was thinking of those who have lost jobs and feel as though everything is hopeless.
i was thinking about those who know this might be the last Christmas they are around.
i was thinking about those who feel so down about themselves because they feel as though nothing ever goes their way.
i was thinking of those who love with all they have who never feel love in return.
i was thinking about those who were celebrating Christmas but didn't know the real reason why.
i was thinking of those who do not have a relationship with our Lord and Savior.
this Christmas, i felt blessed beyond measure, but my mind was somewhere else.
