easton and graham graduated from preschool with a cute ceremony and cookies afterwards. graham was not in the mood to get his picture taken. the boys have grown so much this year. they now know most of their letters and can actually sing the ABC song. no matter how much i tried to get them to learn it they never wanted to. they would rather be outside playing (which isn't all bad). i'm glad i can send them to kindergarten with the basics. graham is more interested in academic things than easton but they both have a good foundation. thank you preschool teachers!
mother's day was pretty low key. we went to church, had our families over for lunch, and then we broke in greyson's new birthday present. we all had fun shooting clay targets. the twins took along their toy guns and practiced "shooting" from the bed of the truck. john held the gun once with kenna but she didn't like it. i actually hit some of the targets! greyson and john did great.
we celebrated lola's birthday in chicago at the american girl place. we rode the train up, shopped, ate, dodged the rain (got soaked), and rode the train back. the girls had so much fun. emerson, a friend, and alicia also tagged along to celebrate em's birthday but they were at a different table than us.
while it was pouring, we stayed in the disney store. they had a cartoonist give "lessons" on how to draw a gene. when the rain slowed down, we went to cvs and bought ponchos. then we headed back to the train station. bags broke in the middle of the street and stuff went everywhere. it was a little chaotic!
it was a fun, but long day!
