{memorial weekend and year end}

we kicked off the camping season at potato creek state park with some friends from church.  it's been sooo rainy and our campsite was partly under water.  while we were there, we actually had good weather.  the kids even braved the lake which was still freezing! we went back every day for sports so it was a lot of driving.  we brought lola back with us for one night and kenna loved having another girl.

the kids rode thier bikes a lot and of course they loved riding through the puddles and mud.  check out easton's shirt! i honestly thought i'd have to throw it away, but it came clean in the wash to my surprise.

the end of the school year is always a time full of fun and mixed emotions.  greyson is heading to the middle school and while i'm ready for him to do so, i'm sure i'll be a little sad come fall.  i absolutely loved my class this year so i am sad to see them go...especially hearing what is coming next year.  ;) greyson made the honor roll all three semesters.  he was trying hard to make high honor roll so he could get an ipod but he came up short.  darn...lol! our principal is retiring so the end of the year was especially not welcome in that regard.  he is going to missed so much.

greyson particpated in the talent show for the third year in a row.  he played hedwig's song (from harry potter).  he messed up a little, but i don't think many noticed.  it's hard playing in front of all those people! he is on the fence about continuing lessons.  we are leaving it up to him but hope he continues.

emily spent the last 12 weeks in my classroom in the afternoons.  i loved this time with her and am so proud of her as she graduated high school.  she is a doll.  my kids look up to her and just adore her.  she was my flower girl 14 years ago.  look how sweet she looks!

 here is greyson's 5th grade class on awards day.  such a great group!

we welcome summer and look forward to all the fun and relaxation to come!
