{notre dame: tour & football 101}

as part of the nd kids club the kids got free passes to tour nd. we learned many interesting facts and had fun with jess, grace, and tyler. john stayed at home with the twins since we were in the middle of potty training and through out the entire tour greyson kept saying how much john would have enjoyed it. i assured him next year he and dad could go and i'd stay home. :) my favorite part was seeing the inner workings of the football stadium.

a few days later jess and i also went to a kelly cares fundraiser event called football 101 at notre dame. it was a blast!  they had delicious foods from area restaurants like ruth chris, hard rock cafe, chick-fa-la, and zoup among many others. after we ate we were divided up into our teams. jess and i were in the cheerleader group.  first we did on field exercises like passing and tackling.
there were eight different stations that we went through like nutrition, workouts, equipment room, locker room, a day in the life of a player, and recruitment. it was so much fun!

after each station we had a chance to talk with the players and get pictures. they were all so nice!

the equipment room was incredible. the players don't have to worry about packing anything for the games. it's all done for them. it was fun to try on a real jersey and helmet that the players wear.

this was such a fun experience and will be something i do each year.  it sure got me in the mood for college football!

It looks like you guys had a blast! How fun to see all the behind the scene stuff! I hope you got the names of those players you took pictures with. They may be in the NFL someday! :) (And I have no clue who they are without their jersey number!) :)
