last weekend we had a wedding in edinburgh, indiana for john's cousin, katelin. we decided to stay over night with my brother in indy and it just so happened that they offered to watch the kids! of course, when greyson and kenna were given the option of staying with toby, jenn, and trent-that's what they wanted to do. so after greyson's 8:00 soccer game, we got around and headed out. we were able to hang out for a short bit and then john and i headed to the wedding. we had a great time catching up with his family and our kids had a wonderful time with their aunt and uncles!
it just so happened that we were in the same town as an outlet mall, so john and i went shopping after the wedding. we scored some great things!
on sunday we ate at our favorite place, qdoba. julie meet us there to eat and to deliver a double umbrella stroller (that she landed for me on a marketplace site-thanks julie!). It's always good to see her.
we had an exhausting weekend but our hearts are full of love, family, and friends.
on august 27th, my grandma turned 84 so the family surprised get at essenhaus for her birthday celebration. she was so surprised that she cried. it was so sweet. she has done so much for me and now for my family. i appreciate her so much and i'm thankful we were able to celebrate this milestone with her.

What a fun weekend! You guys were really busy but it's nice to be able to spend time with family, especially some of them that you don't get to see regularly!
