{stitch fix: #3}

i decided to get a fix with all tops in it because i was seeing such cute ones and i could always use some more summer tops.  unfortunately, this wasn't the best fix for me.  it ended up being 1/5, but i know it is bound to happen.  i did not have a photographer because both greyson and john were on a fishing trip together, so i had to resort taking selfies in my full length mirror.  don't mind the dirty mirror! i also didn't bother putting on pants/shorts that went with each shirt.  

 

1.Meryl Tulip Print Sleeveless Blouse

i of course peeked once my fix shipped and i was so excited to see i was getting this shirt.  however, when it arrived i wasn't as excited.  i thought it was going to be navy.  so right away i was kind of disappointed.  once i tried it on, i was thankful it wasn't navy because the arm holes were ridiculously large.  it also looked like it had two small runs that were starting on the front of the shirt.  i had the navy version that is 3/4 length sleeves pinned and my stylist mentioned seeing it on my pinterest board so she thought i'd like this one since it was similar.  i was happy to see she at least looks at my board.

verdict: returned

 

2.Montgomery Cross Front Knit Top

i wasn't crazy in love with this, however i liked the way it fit and i knew i'd be able to wear it to work which is always a bonus.  i liked this more than anything else in my fix.

verdict: kept

3. Flynn Colorblock Sleeveless Blouse

this shirt comes in many different colors and i haven't liked it in any color i've seen.  it's been a popular shirt on the boards which i find odd.

5. Emerson Cutout Back Detail Blouse front view

i was on the fence with this one.  i liked the detail on the back, but the fabric was really stiff and almost scratchy. they sent me a black cami to go under this.  even though i didn't keep the shirt, i got to keep the cami.  it's comfortable and doesn't ride up.

5. Holden Scoop Neck Blouse

i disliked this the moment i saw it.

i had $125 credit left from all the awesome peeps who used me as a referral, so i ended up paying nothing.  i still have some credit waiting for me so i scheduled a "end of summer pick me up box" to arrive the week before school starts.  i wasn't specific with my requests other than i asked that it all be teacher appropriate so i could wear it to work.
