hunting season was especially long at the davis house. john got a bow last year so his hunting season started much earlier than it has in the past. this was great for him but not so great for me. :) i was so thankful when i got the call saying he got one. he decided to process it himself and made some killer jerkey. i agreed to let him bring it in the kitchen to butcher but i did so without realizing that i'd have a deer hoof on my counter! i stayed away and pretended it wasn't there. thankfully he cleaned it up and the jerkey was good. ;)
this year our children-and children at heart-put on david's dynasty (a spin off of duck dynasty) for the Christmas play. john was one of those children at heart and played the part of jace. greyson did a great job and john did too.
kenna did a few songs too. she didn't want to get her costume on or go up on stage, but my mom was able to talk her into it.

Yeah for hunting season (and for it to be over at your house) :). Looks like the kids and John did a great job in the play. What a fun theme! Now if Greyson could just learn to talk like Si.... :)
Ok, that is so fun! The play sounds amazing and I love that it was a family event!!!
