november always brings out the gratitude in people. although i didn't participate, i've enjoyed reading people's thankful statuses on facebook. i am very grateful for the everyday things like a house to live in, a car to drive, healthy kids (unfortunately we did have a run in with hand, foot, and mouth this month. kenna was a trooper but she never got sores in her mouth. greyson didn't handle it so well but had sores in his mouth), a loving husband, a job that i enjoy, my family, friends near and far, my church, and the gift of each new morning. God is good, all the time! All the time, God is good!
on thanksgiving morning i got up bright and early and participated in the i'm thankful four run/walk. it was fun to start a new tradition with ashlie, jennifer, rach, and jen and plan on doing it year after year. we spent thanksgiving with john's family and enjoyed catching up and eating all the delicious food. the grandparents took all the kids to the playground (it was 60 degrees!) and we all enjoyed afternoon naps!
usually i decorate the house on friday after thanksgiving, but this year we got an early start. i bought a new tree and ever since it arrived in october greyson insisted we put it up. so finally we gave in and we actually put it up on my fall break! we didn't decorate it though until the week before thanksgiving. since the kids were sick, i took a day off work and took advantage of the extra time to decorate the tree then. i still haven't gotten everything out and we haven't decorated the outside. hopefully tomorrow we get around to it, because christmas will be here before we know it!
greyson and i had a mommy/son date (he didn't like it when i called it a date...too funny!). we went to the morris and watched disney live. greyson loved it and i enjoyed it too! he already is asking when he can go again. they had the little mermaid, aladdin, toy story, and the mickey clan so he loved it. it was a fun afternoon!
greyson is into santa and wanted to write a letter to him. i went to pinterest and found this template and also found a place where you can send it and supposedly get a response. so over the weekend we wrote our letter and sent it on its way. we'll see if anything comes of it.
and i'll leave you with this...GO IRISH! BEAT usc! :) just in case you don't follow college football, this season has been so fun. we enjoyed having season tickets and it was even better because of their undefeated season. we'll see if i can still say that in the morning. ;) if you saw us or our kids on game days, you'd most likely find us sporting nd attire. kenna's nd clothes are getting a little snug, so it's a good thing the season is almost over. ;) hopefully her clothes will be needed one more time after tonight!

You guys have been busy. I'm so glad the kids are finally feeling better. It will be interesting to see what gift Santa brings Greyson...a real 4 wheeler or perhaps a pogo stick! :)
I love the memories you are making with Greyson! He will remember this forever :)
What a great way to make memories...Greyson will always remember this! What a blessing! (I tried posting 3 times and it won't save, so I am doing it anonymous :)...Jess
