the proof is in the pin: this month's creations

i have really enjoyed linking up with sarah because it encourages me to actually complete some of my pins! :)  this is the third round and it's also my third time participating.  here are my creations from the past month.

i saw this ornament and fell in love.  i knew i wanted to make these for the kids' sunday school teachers, preschool teachers, the assistants that help in my classroom, and even some for family members.  i thought it looked easy...and it probably should have been, but it actually was pretty time consuming.  i made a mess with the snow because i didn't have a funnel and i couldn't get the file to load on my silhouette so i cut the inserts by hand.  i won't lie, i was completely frustrated but i pressed on to finish them.  now that they are done, i LOVE the way they turned out and might even make some more now that i've learned a few things along the way (including how to use the silhouette correctly...thanks ashlie!)

i also tried this to clean my dishwasher.  i didn't take before/after pics, but i honestly don't think it did a darn thing.  i won't be doing it again.  fail!

i absolutely love, love, love christmas and all the business that it brings.  when i saw this christmas bucket list, i knew i wanted to do it.  i made up my list of 24 activities, crafts, etc., and was in the process of getting all the things ready to go when one of my coworkers gave me a kit with preprinted activities to choose from.  they also had bible verses that will help us focus on the true meaning of christmas.  so being totally inspired by this pin, i've decided to run with the premade one. :) a lot of the activities were the same ones that i was planning on doing anyway.  i am SO excited to make memories with my kids all while serving, learning, giving and having fun.  come on christmas! :)

lastly, i made a book page wreath for my classroom door.  i have had this on my to-do list for almost two years and i've had the supplies to make it but just haven't taken the time.  so friday night after the kids went to bed, i completed it.  i made some changes to the tutorial and stapled the pages in their shape before hot gluing them to the wreath.  i also did more than one layer at once which sped things up quite a bit. i am thinking about adding a banner in the middle that says "read" but we'll see.  i mean, it did take me two years just to make it this far!

what pins have you completed lately? ;) join in the fun and link up with the proof is in the pin!

I LOVE the ornament. So adorable!! I hope you made one to keep for yourself! :) Your kids will have a blast trying all of the activities for December. We got an elf this year, so I've been looking up "trouble" for him to get into! :) Love your creativity!!
