we've been home for over a week now and are adjusting quite nicely as a family of four. it has been easier than i thought it would be because kenna is such a good baby (she's nothing her brother was as a baby)! kenna is calm and hardly ever cries. i am praying this doesn't change as she gets older. we have taken her out a few times and she didn't even notice-she has slept the whole time we were away. she gets up three to four times a night and i'm adjusting to little sleep. monday was my first day with her and greyson by myself. it wasn't too bad since kenna sleeps most of the day.
she had her one week appointment and she was already back at her birth weight. she's definitely an eater and caught on much more quickly than greyson did. she is taking after him though in the fact that she eats all the time! :) the dr thinks she has reflux, even though she is not spitting up. she makes an awful gasping sound and has the hiccups often. she said if it gets worse then she will put her on medication to help with this. it was scary the first few times she gasped but now we expect it so it's not so scary. i do hope this gets better so we don't have to deal with medicine.
greyson loves being around her and is always trying to steal kisses and hugs from her. he hasn't shown any disgust towards kenna but has acted out. he is much more whiny and would rather have grandma than mommy or daddy. i know this is normal, but i'm ready for my sweet little boy back. thankfully, he is still being a big boy and going on the potty. everyone told me to be prepared for him to revert back and need diapers again. i'm soooo thankful this didn't happen.
we all love kenna so much already and are happy to be a family of four!
