imagination and ideas

in the past month greyson has really started using his imagination. i always get a good laugh out of his stories and what he comes up with. here are two that happened recently...

see that little speck on his toe that he's pointing to? he told me that it hurt and asked for a band aid. i asked him what happened and he went into a long, dramatic story about a bird pecking his toe. he let me know that he was able to catch the bird with his net though....phew...i was worried there was a toe pecking bird on the loose! ;)

here he is pretending the carpet cleaner is santa's reindeer. he was using the cord as reins and kept saying "ho, ho, ho" and "come on dancer and prancer...". he even made me get into the sleigh that is behind him. this entertained him for quite some time!

yesterday we were talking about the real meaning of easter and when i said Jesus came back to life, greyson smiled really big and started clapping. then when i told him that Jesus died and rose again because he loves us, he blew kisses up into the sky. he said he wanted to go up there to see Jesus. i told him that we didn't have a way to get up there right now. he thought for a minute and then said, "how about pixie dust?" (this would be from a cartoon that uses pixie dust to fly). his ideas and imagination make me smile. he's so funny!

i absolutely love these stories. i forgot how creative imaginations can be. kind of wish i still had mine or that it was more free. though i don't think i could stand behind a carpet cleaner for that long ;). love you...m.e.
