a holiday weekend to remember

greyson and i stayed busy while daddy was away. here's a few highlights...

~friday morning while all the crazy shoppers were getting deals, greyson, mamaw, papaw, and i went to middlebury to a bakery that has the BEST doughnuts ever. i didn't think it would be worth driving 40 minutes for doughnuts, but it was! we informed john that he was going to have to stop on fridays (quite often) to bring them for our saturday morning breakfast! my mouth is watering just thinking about them! :)

~we spent some time shopping with mamaw. it wasn't too crazy on saturday and we were still able to get some good deals. greyson saw santa and thought he was pretty cool.

~we "christmasfied" our house. greyson was such a big help this year and was excited to put up the tree and help decorate it. he did pretty well too! i only had to move a few that he put right on top of one another.

~greyson got to ride a mule today with papaw and papaw's friend PJ. he LOVED it and didn't want to get off. he now says he wants a "pony" for christmas. unfortunately, i don't think that's in the making.
john made it home safely tonight and had lots of fun. i enjoyed the long weekend making memories with my boy (and parents) and glad john could have some quality guy time.

That sounds like you had a wonderful time! I love how you do special things with Greyson! And seriously...no pony!...what kind of mom are you :):):) FYI: of course I didn't say anything bad about you at Thanksgiving :) Chayse was telling them about your appointment on Thursday :) And he was excited to see your husband (The picture on our wall:))

How cool! I love that the kids are getting more helpful and excited about Christmas. It's so neat to see their excitement!
