mother's day memories

this past weekend john and greyson made me feel extra special! i received roses from john, tulips from greyson, a digital key chain from my mother-in-law, and a little cute birdie from one of my students. becoming a mom has been the greatest joy that i have ever experienced. it can be very challenging at times, but it is the greatest "job" i've ever had. i have so much love for greyson that i can't even express it in words. i'm very thankful for my son and the opportunity to raise him.

to celebrate, we went to my mom's for a cookout on sunday and enjoyed spending time with my mom, grandma, and rest of the fam. sunday night we went to visit john's mom and spend time with her. monday night we went to the "mother and daughter tea" at church. we had a very simple, yet tasty meal provided by the tea pot and more. the desserts were the best part! i am very thankful for my mom. she is simply the best. she gives so much of herself so that her kids can be happy. she drops anything to help us out, prays for us, and encourages us. i'm so thankful that she is my mom and i hope i'm half the mom she is.
here's a picture of my grandma and mom at our tea party.

my mom with her girls (i forgot to crop it before uploading it...whoops!)

happy (belated) mother's day to all my fabulous mother friends!
