it's been a really long week due to illnesses. john started to get sick a week and a half ago and the cubs game did him in. he ended up working from home all week (thus the LONG week...grouchy, sick husband who couldn't help with greyson and when our tv died that did him in!!). he finally went to the doctor and got a shot and three prescriptions which has helped him. he's still not feeling the best and loses his energy very easily. greyson started getting sick on wednesday, with a little dry sounding cough. by friday night it had turned into a really raspy cough and so we went to the doctor. we found out he has an ear infection along with his cold. he sounds terrible but has been quite the little trooper-he hasn't been really grouchy and has been sleeping more. giving him his meds are a little tricky, as it takes both of us to hold him still and to get him to swallow the prescriptions. the worst part is putting his nose drops in and then sucking them out. he screams so loudly!! i hate doing it to him!
my saving grace for this week was going to visit rach, kenley, and jarrett
in wabash before greyson got sick. jarrett was born a month after greyson. he's adorable and is the perfect addition to a wonderful family. i enjoyed spending the afternoon with rachael and the kids. here's a self taken picture of rach and me. can you tell we both are tired? and here's our little boys meeting each other for the first time. i can't wait for them to be buddies!
hopefully this week won't be so long and will bring a healthy husband and a healthy baby. :)

YEAH!! I'm so excited your family is on blogger and I love the title of the blog. Also love the background as that is the one that I originally chose too! :) Hope John will post (just because I'm sure Matt never would since he thinks blogs are dumb!) :) I'd be interested to see how quickly I could tell a "John post" from a "Jessica post"! Hope everyone gets better soon!!
