{first day of school and first lost tooth}

after much fretting, the kids were able to go back to school in person! everyone was so excited and couldn't wait.  greyson is in 7th grade and has officially passed me in height and weight! he's getting so big.

kenna is in 4th and has mr. hostetter.  she was a little nervous about having a male teacher but she loves having him now.

easton and graham are in mrs. gross' class together.  i thought with the contact tracing and all the unknowns it would just be easier to have them in the same class.  leading up to the first day, easton was excited, but once it got here he cried and didn't want to go. thankfully he faced his fears and is having a great year.  i really do think it helps him that graham is in his class.  they act tough and say they don't like it when they can hear each other, but one on one, they admit they like being in the same class.

i'm so thankful we are back in person but doing both in person and remote has been tough.  i spend so much time on the online portion and really for no reason (because the student isn't doing the work anyway). as of this weekend, i've decided i'm not posting anything new until she's done all that is already posted so that should relieve a lot of the time i've been spending on it.  thankfully my co-workers and i are working together and all taking turns doing different subjects or else the load would unmanageable.  i'm not sleeping well and i'm exhausted. i hope the end is in sight.

graham lost his first tooth at the lake house.  he was so excited.  the tooth fairy didn't come that first night because she couldn't find our house.  the second night we were back in nappanee and she didn't come again! finally, on the third night she remembered.  she must have felt bad for forgetting, so she left him $5 for his tooth.  he was pretty excited once he saw how much she left! :)
