{pets and cousins}

kenna had been struggling to hit three back handsprings in a row.  she's been working on it forever and it was completely mental because she could easily do two. i did what all good parents do and bribed her with a fish if she did it.  of course, that night, she did it. we not only came home with a way too expensive fish but also a hamster.  greyson has been asking for one for two years and my mom gave him my old cage.  they both were so excited and are happy to have their own pets.  

graham and easton have been working a lot with grandpa and they have been asking for a hat to keep them cool.  my dad went to the amish store and bought them these. they are in love with them and wear them all the time.  they want bowl cuts and talk about their amish friends all the time.  i think they are a little obsessed! 

a few weeks ago we were in desperate need of a change of scenery so we decided to go to fishers to see the family and to swim.  it poured on our way down and i was't so sure they would get to swim.  thankfully after lunch it cleared up.  we had the pool to ourselves most of the time and the kids had a blast.  greyson came too but he already headed back before i took any pictures. 

unfortunately, that is the last time we'll get to use the pool because jenn and toby bought a new house.  their new house doesn't have a pool but it is a little closer to us so that's a plus! 

i had texted jenn and toby before we left and asked them to consider letting us take the boys back for the weekend.  they have only been away from bexley one time and have never been away from tate so i wasn't expecting them to say yes.  however, they did! we had the boys friday through sunday.  bexley had the roughest time and kept saying "bexley go to his house".  he had fun when he wasn't thinking about his mama.  :) we played lots of basketball, we got him to ride the fourwheeler (he's always been too scared in the psat), and had fun being aunt and uncle for the weekend.  

by sunday we were worn out! i think we forgot how busy a one and two year old are! :) they came home for the fourth and bexley didn't want anything to do with aunt jess' house. ha! i think he was afraid he would have to stay again.
