{summer days}

our summer days have been much slower than in years past. our nights aren't filled with games and activities. we mostly are staying home and everything is becoming boring to the kids.

graham and greyson have been catching bull frogs out of our pond.  they are skinning them and saving the frog legs so they can have a feast.  i don't know that i can eat them knowing they came from our pond.  i've been crafting here and there.  i made my neighbor the oh hello sign and us a camper sign before i knew we were selling it.  greyson begs to shoot all the time.  every once in a while john says yes and he loves it.

kenna's been keeping busy.  she's had a few friends over to spend the night.  she also babysat norah one morning.  she had to go to the doctor and we had to wear masks. she was not a fan.
riding tractors is another favorite of all the kids.  they ask dad and grandpa daily for rides.  grandpa lets the twins drive the cub by themselves now so that has been exciting for them.
we've had some great summer weather.  it seems each evening we end up on the patio sitting and talking.  the kids love to catch lightning bugs.  easton and kenna begged to sleep on the trampoline so we let them.  they only made it until 10:30.  we didn't think they'd last very long.  :)

last winter greyson cut, split, and stacked wood with my dad and john.  they had a ton piled up and my dad told greyson he could sell it and keep the money.  he was so pumped and has had quite the interest.  he's almost sold out.  kenna was a little jealous greyson was making all this money so she had a kool-aid stand and made a whopping $8.  she decided that wasn't enough so she came up with the idea of detailing people's cars.  i really didn't think she'd get any business but i finally gave in and posted it on fb.  she got five people in the first night.  she was so nervous and so excited.  i made her call the people herself to set up appointments. she did her first two today and is so happy to be making some money.
