{skiing & special times}

we loved skiing so much in minnesota that we bought ski passes at bittersweet.  we planned to go on saturday in february and silas and kenna discovered we were going to the same place to ski. melanie texted and we met up once there.  the kids loved having friends to ski with and it was nice having an extra set of eyes on the kids.  greyson and kenna did great and went on some of the more advanced hills.  they have no fear and really do a good job keeping themselves under control.  

 the twins did great also.  we took them on the ski lifts and they did great.  i was scared to take them but john was confident they could do it so we gave it a try.  they did a great job too and were very confident going down the longer slopes.  it was a fairly warm day and it was the first nice day we had after all the cold temps so it was extremely busy.  we stayed well after dark and it cleared out quite a bit.  we had a great time!

 the twin's preschool had a mother's tea where the kids sang a few songs and then we decorated their valentine's bags.  i took a half day and had fun being at home by myself for a while and then spending time with the boys.  they are in a stage where they won't leave the house without doing their hair. they get upset if you touch their hair or try to get them to put a hat on.  it doesn't always look the best, but there's bigger things i can worry about. 

john and kenna went to their annual daddy daughter dance.  we found her dress at marshalls. we both really liked it and it was cheap! her shoes were on clearance at target and she wanted them because i have some that are similar.  she dressed her american girl in fancy clothes and took her along in the car.  matt and emerson also went and it sounds like they all had a great time! kenna thrives on one on one time so this was a perfect event to fill her up.
