{living for the weekends}

a few weekends ago one of john's coworkers gave us her tickets to the nd game.  we jumped at the opportunity to go and spend some time together.  it was really hot that day but we were still glad to be able to go.  the atmosphere at the stadium is always fantastic and the jumbo tron adds so much.

most friday nights you'll find me at home hanging with the twins.  john, greyson, and kenna typically go to the northwood games.  it's been so fun just enjoying these two.  they usually are disappointed they can't go with dad but i try to make it fun.

this past weekend i spent the weekend in mears, michigan with 11 other ladies from my church.  we went to grace adventures for a woman's retreat.  this place was fantastic and had so many opportunities for us to experience.  the speaker's story was really great.  she started out being a playboy bunny, buried two husbands within two years, and has been married a total of four times.  her testimony was incredible and she's sharing her story and impacting the kingdom.  i bought her book because i wanted to hear her story more in depth. i can't wait to get started.

there was a lot of time where we could do what ever we pleased.  i decided to do outdoorsy things like shooting clay targets, archery, horse back riding, and zip-lining. it was so fun! i actually shot two clay targets and nicked one out of five.  i staged the bulls-eye picture so i could show john how good i was with a bow and arrow.  he didn't fall for it. ha!

i left feeling refreshed and with some clarity about some big decisions our family is making.  i'm excited to see God continue to work and thankful for the opportunity to unplug for the weekend.  john did a great job flying solo for the weekend and even made sure i didn't come home to a messy house.  he's such a great man!
