kenna's room was in need of an update.  she had dark brown walls that were painted when we first moved in.  we accented with pink and called it good when she was born.  she was ready for something different and had fun picking out the paint, bed, and decorations. she loves teal so that's what she chose for the walls. we got her bed, comforter, and desk at ikea a few months back.  it's a full sized bed but she wanted her twin up there so she had room to put tubs that she can keep books and a few toys.   i wasn't sure how it would work but it's been working well. most of her decorations came from target, hobby lobby, and amazon. she got rid of most of her toys because she doesn't think she needs toys anymore. :( she loves her updated room! 

we also redid the office.  this room was an office and then when we had the twins it was their bedroom.  now that greyson moved in the basement and the twins moved into greyson's old room, the office was empty for a few months. we worked with kitchens etc. in elkhart and loved what we came up with.  

we ripped out the carpet and had hardwood installed. unfortunately, it doesn't exactly match our other hardwood because they no longer make what we had.  it's very similar but isn't quite as wide and the color is more brown. i actually like it more than the other which has more red undertones in it but there's no way we were going to rip all of that out.  i mentioned it and john didn't even respond. i know financially it would be a dumb thing to do but it didn't hurt to ask.  :) 

i purchased this map that you can add pictures in.  i LOVE it.  i've always been a huge picture person and when i saw this i knew i had to have it.  thank you bunnylabs in michigan! we are only adding pictures to where we've been as a family or at least john and i together. we have a lot more states to visit.   

i am planning on getting some kind of chairs to go on the opposite wall  from the built-in but we haven't gotten that far yet.  it's been fun to work on the house.  up next-neff's painting is making a visit!
