swimming, camping, and cubs

swimming each spring is a big deal.  the kids ask and ask and ask as soon as it is even a little warm.  i've finally just accepted that no matter how cold the water is they still want to swim so i let them! they stayed in way longer than i thought they would and have been in many times since.  i love having a pond in the backyard so they can do this whenever they want.

we went camping over memorial weekend with some friends from church at maple ridge, a privately owned campground.  it was smaller but they had a ton of activities for the kids and they even had a pool.  it was very shady which was nice because it was incredibly hot for this time of year.

all of the kids had friends to play with which was nice.  they did water balloons, bingo, swam, jumped on the bounce house, played on the playground, went for a tractor ride, rode bikes, and swam a lot.  matt and emily came and my kids adore them.  they both are so good with kids and are wonderful to have around.

we went to our first cubs game of the season with some friends from church.  this was the first time we've taken the twins and they did great.  i was thankful because they get a little restless at kenna and greyson's games.

greyson and kenna decided to see how fast they could pitch and the boys wanted to do the bounce houses.  they all ran the bases after the game.  it was a fun family night out.
