{march madness...the daily stuff}

kenna wrapped up her first season of vertical basketball.  she had some great coaches and teammates but her team wasn't very good.  they may have won a game or two, but they mostly lost.  she was pretty aggressive and got the ball but she never made a shot.  she seemed to like it but i'm not sure it's going it's going to be her thing.  coach nic gave each of the girls a nice handwritten card at the end of the season.  he wrote how much she had grown and how he hopes she always clings to the Lord.  i thought that was very nice of him to do that for each girl.

 we've had a few spring like days.  we took advantage of them and spent lots of time outside.  baseball is family favorite.  so is the truck.  the twins even shared with payton and kenna. poor easton tripped and fell after one of kenna's basketball games.  he got a fat lip and some scratches.

we traveled to indy a few weekends ago to see toby, jenn, and trent.  it was a nice day so we spent some time outside playing at the playground.  bexley is such a chunk and got lots of love from all of his cousins.

greyson achieved honor roll status again this trimester.  he was so bummed because he got a B+ in reading.  when i showed him his report card he said, "that B+ is like an F to me." a little over dramatic-ha! he missed high honor roll last time because he got a B+ in writing.  he says he is going to work extra hard to try to be on high honor roll. go get 'em kid.

march madness is upon us and john had all of the kids fill out a bracket.  it was so funny to hear the twins try to say some of the team names.  they liked marshall and had them winning several rounds because marshall is a favorite on paw patrol.  the winner gets to choose where we eat out for dinner.  i say it's a win for me because i don't have to cook!

in other news, john got into a car accident.  it wasn't that bad, but they totaled his car.  he was bummed and is stuck driving a rental until his new car comes in.  i am always fearful of getting a call from him saying he's been in an accident since he is on the rode so much.  i'm thankful no one was hurt and cars can be replaced.

february and march are my least favorite months.  work is very stressful during these months and having 29 kids is wearing on me.  the good news is, april is almost here and then it's back uphill.  i think i can, i think i can, i think i can...spring break can't get here soon enough!
