{christmas break}

i LOVE christmas break.  john takes the two weeks off to be with us and we have lots of fun.  we play games, we go places, we work on the house, and just enjoy some lazy days in our pajamas.  this is the first break in a while that we haven't gone on a trip but it was perfect.

we went ice skating at notre dame.  it was busy but it was still lots of fun.  easton whined the whole first half.  he wanted to be pushed and we couldn't leave his side.  graham did great.  then we took a bathroom break and they completely switched roles.  it was so annoying because we knew they could do it, they were just be stubborn.

we spent a lot of time playing with new toys and outside despite the freezing temps.  the kids couldn't stay out long but they at least got out to run off some energy for a little bit most days. we also painted the bedroom in the basement and moved greyson down there.  the twins got moved to greyson's old room and the office is currently sitting empty. john wants to rip out the carpet and put wood in there and then have a built in desk.  he's excited to get his office back!

john took kenna to amish acres to see the little mermaid.  she had a great time and thrives from one on one quality time.  he also took greyson and kenna to see the new star wars movie.  kenna wanted a shirt but didn't have one, so she made one.  the boys are getting so independent.  easton wanted a cough drop so he stacked a stool on top of a kitchen chair to get it.  graham is so helpful...i found him hanging up his clothes.  he loves to do stuff like that.  we finally made a birthday cake for Jesus that the boys wednesday night teacher gave them.  we celebrated the whole two weeks. ;)

i managed to read three books over break! it was soooo nice to be able to do that.  kenna loves to read to her brothers at night.  graham wasn't having it on this particular night but most nights they are okay with her reading to them. the twins also started standing on the window sill in the basement and would jump off onto the couch.  i knew i had to stop that quickly because mr. davis wouldn't approve.

all good things must come to an end.  we are back in the swing of things, which has been nice too.
