summer is in full swing. literally. :) both kenna and greyson are playing baseball and john is coaching greyson's team. i love baseball. i played softball in high school and secretly i hope this is a sport that my kids will stick with. kenna has improved so much this season already. her confidence has soared and more often than not she is able to hit without the t. greyson is catching again this season and he is doing a great job. he is really learning how to hustle more and prevents most balls from getting past him. he's a rock star hitter too!
the kids are busy creating, playing outside, doing chores, and even doing some learning this summer. Greyson got to mow the entire yard for the first time. he was so proud of himself and really likes doing it. he goes a little lot too fast and he missed some spots, but he will get better as the summer goes on.
it really hasn't been too warm but the kids kept begging to go swimming. i finally succumbed and gave into them. they've swam almost everyday and sometimes more than once a day. we've had water balloon fights and ran through the sprinklers too. all my kids love water.
i have big hopes of getting much accomplished this summer. i tackled resealing our playset. it looks brand new and it feels great to check this project of my list. however, it has made me not want to tackle the other painting jobs that i was hoping to get done. i always think i enjoy painting, but end up hating it by the time i get done. 😄
