{greyson is NINE!}

greyson randall you are growing up way too fast! i can't believe you, my first born, are nine! your daddy says you take after me in more ways than one. he claims you are stubborn and take forever to do anything just like your mama.  i just laugh because there are worse things you could have inherited from me. :) 

it's been fun having you right next door at school.  you will wave to me often when you are having a break and i'm still teaching my class.  you are really good at math and i love that i don't have to check over your homework.  you are starting to enjoy reading a little more, but it's still not your favorite.   

you love sports and have tried just about everything that has been offered.  you excel at swimming and baseball.  you are becoming more and more aggressive.  you have taken up piano and are doing a fabulous job. i love to listen to you play.  i sure hope you stick with it because neither your dad nor i don't have a musical bone in our bodies. 

we are giving you more responsibility around the house.  you don't really appreciate this and often complain but we know it is what will turn you into a fine young man some day.  you are helpful with your siblings and look out for them.  you also want more siblings, but only if it's a boy.  you like to push poeples buttons just to get them to react.  

you are funny and are wise beyond your years.  you are such a blessing to us and we are so thankful for you! happy ninth birthday, dear greyson!
