{happy 8th birthday, greyson}

dearest greyson, 

how is it possible that you, my first born, are 8 years old!?! you are such a blessing.  you are stubborn and think you know best, but i'm sure this will just get worse as you get older.  you still love to outside, riding tractors/fourwheelers, digging in dirt, and playing ball of any type.  you aren't crazy about school, although you love your teacher and seeing your friends all the time.  you have a big heart and often take your own money to put in the offering plate at church.  you have a love/hate relationshop with kenna.  when you are getting along it is so fun to watch you interact.  you often have "slumber parties" and she sneaks into your room and sleeps on the bottom bunk after we have put you to bed. i guess we never thought that through when we put jack and jill bathrooms between your bedrooms! kenna says it's always your idea.  

you have grown so much in the past year.  i have had to buy you three different sizes of jeans this school year.  you are gaining ground on me and will be taller than me in no time.  you have your own style and love to be comfortable in sweat pants and sweatshirts. 

you wanted to have a friend party this year and picked star wars as the theme.  you boys played nerf guns, basketball, kickball, jackpot, and were introduced to silly string which was a big hit! dad gave everyone rides on the fourwheeler.  i think you boys had every bike, skateboard, etc. out of the barn and just had a great time playing together.  uncle toby and trent came home and came to play too.  you loved having them there.
