the weather was gorgeous this easter weekend so we were able to do lots of activities outside! grandma barb had us over for an egg hunt and to color eggs. the kids always look forward to this tradition. greyson was at a birthday party so he missed all the fun.
on easter sunday the kids were excited to get their bags full of necessities from the easter bunny ;). they got swimsuits, underwear, sunglasses, undershirts, and books. we hurried out the door to make it to the breakfast at church and to attend the worship service. we love our church and the people in it. there were several in attendance that my small group has been praying for. i was excited to see that and hope that seeds were planted as they witnessed worship.
the kids also participated in the easter egg hunt after the service. they always enjoy that and the church does such a great job with it. we had to hurry off to get to lunch at heritage house with my mom's side of the family. all my siblings came home and we had a good time together.
easter is always a special time as i reflect on the sacrifice God made. without his sacrifice it wouldn't be possible for me to spend eternity in heaven. it's overwhelming to think about God giving his best, his Son, to die for me. i'm so thankful for that sacrifice and for His resurrection! happy easter!
