{disney on ice & shattered glass}

when i saw disney on ice was coming to fort wayne, i knew i had to take kenna. i hesitated buying a ticket in advance because i never know what is going to come up or if i'd be able to sneak away.  it worked out that i was able to get pretty good seats the day of and i surprised her. she was so thrilled. i loved watching her facial expressions while she was enjoying the show. we both enjoyed it and now i'm looking into disney cruises because i know all the kids would enjoy it so much. ;)

we were both hungry after the show and i was looking forward to eating some good food in fort wayne.  however, kenna had a different idea and i made the mistake of telling her she could pick.  no matter how hard i tried to persuade her to choose something else, she insisted on mcdonald's.  i told her we could have that anytime, but she put me in my place and told me that i never let her go there.   so mcdonald's it was. yuck!

i snapped these pictures sunday morning before rushing off to church and i just had to share. sometimes i still can't believe i've been entrusted to raise these two.  i feel so blessed!
after church graham went straight to bed because he fell asleep on the way home.  easton was up and john was grilling.  i went to the garage freezer to get some frozen vegetables and while i was out there, easton shut the door and locked it! no matter how hard i tried to get him to unlock it he didn't/couldn't.  we could hear him trying but then he'd get bored and walk away.  then he would come back crying.  :( of course, every window was locked and so were all the other doors, including our glass storm door.  after trying every key to get in, we called my mom because she also had a key. we were hoping it was one to the garage door, but it also was for the front door-which was behind the locked glass storm door.  we had no other choice but to break it.  john used a rock and it shattered into thousands of little pieces.  graham woke up from the noise and then we had two crying children.  ha! now we are on a hunt to find the right keys to the garage door so this doesn't happen again! we are already on glass door number three and we've only lived in this house for 8 years.  hopefully door number three will last longer than the first two! thankfully no one was hurt and it wasn't too long that they were locked in the house without us!

That's so special that you and Kenna could get some girl time alone. Looks like she loved the show!
And the broken glass is horrible! Thankfully no one was hurt and the boys probably didn't know to be too scared.
