celebrations

last weekend was the annual apple festival in our small town. we had a great time as a family watching the parade, enjoying the food, and greyson even got to choose one "ride" to go on while we were there.  he was determined to go on the farris wheel and talked about it for days before.  however, as soon as he saw the giant trampoline, he changed his mind.  john was glad, because greyson had chosen him to gowith him on the farris wheel. ;)

john also celebrated his 34th birthday!  we kept it low key but had birthday meals with his family and with my family.  for his birthday, he got season tickets for the notre dame football games.  i think that is the best birthday present he could ever ask for.  he took matt to the purdue game and i went with him to the michigan game.  greyson gets to go to the next home game and he is super excited! i'm sure that will be a post in it's own.  very grateful for the birthday boy and the husband/father that is he!
