warren dunes

summer is coming to an end for me as i head back into the classroom this week.  i realized i had lots of things i wanted to accomplish and realizing it was my last week gave me the motivation i needed.  i managed to shampoo all the upstairs carpet, wipe down the walls, squeeze in two doctor's appointments, go through greyson's room to get ready for a garage sale, and find time to have some extra fun with my family and friends at the dunes! yes, i know...i've had all summer to do these things, don't judge! i'm still not completely done with my *spring* cleaning but hope to get it done before wednesday!

more about the fun stuff...the warren dunes! tara texted me earlier this week and asked if we wanted to join them at the dunes.  i had just mentioned to john i would like to do one last "big" thing before summer was over and i suggested the dunes or the water park in merriville.  we hadn't made any official plans so when this opportunity came up, i was excited.  we met there saturday and had a blast playing in the water, sand, and mud.  greyson and kenna did so well! i was nervous about kenna but i had no reason to.  although she didn't have a nap, she did great and loved everything about it.  both of the kids were dead tired by the end of the day and slept the whole way home.  nothing like sun and water to wear out the kids!
