the everyday

we are having so much fun this summer!  greyson got to have two friends spend the night last thursday and spent all day friday with them.  they played well together (for the most part ;)) and all were tuckered out by the time grace and tyler had to go home.  greyson loved it because he's always asking for friends to come over.

friday night john had the brillant idea to take the kids to the drive in movies to see madagascar 3.  we figured kenna would fall asleep and we were going to let greyson stay up WAY past his bedtime.  it's summer, okay! :) the move was supposed to start at 8:45 but didn't actually start until 9:30.  greyson did great.  kenna however did not fall asleep and cried for a good 25 minutes.  we decided it wasn't such a brilliant idea (at least to take kenna) but we had some fun as a family and that's all that matters!

saturday we spent the evening at the stankovich's pond. we had two more people get baptized from church! i think that makes 16 people all together in may and june.  good things are happening at our church.  it's exciting and i hope we continue to respond to God's moving. our sunday school class is growing and that excites me too! it's awesome to see new faces at church.   while we were there, their neighbors were having a reunion and two family members skydived and landed right by us.  it was fun to watch.  jennifer, ashlie, and i have the itch to do it now so we are looking into it. :)

my parents were gone for the week so we had to watch their dog, jet.  he wasn't as bad as i was expecting, but it has confirmed that i DO NOT want a dog in my house...ever! john's on board now too. it's such a pain to have to always let him out and make sure he's pinned up every time we leave.  my parents had a great time and spoiled the kids with souvenirs!

it's the everyday things that i love about summer!

We cannot thank you enough for watching the kids and for spoiling so much! They had a BLAST!!! And they were totally wiped out. I love the drive in idea! So she cried for a little, I bet Greyson sure thought he was special! Love the family time!

You sure are making those summer days fun! :) The drive-in sounds like a great idea. Kids never follow parents' rules for when they should or shouldn't sleep! But that's ok. Looks like fun!
