i was so excited to have the day before thanksgiving off. it was a wonderful day, spent in my pjs and doing things i enjoy! i need more days like this!
i spent some time crafting today. greyson wanted to paint while i was working on things so i thought of this activity for him to do since he loves to paint. i cut out a turkey and the words give thanks from contact paper using my cricut. then i put them on a piece of plain white scrapbook paper. he finger painted (or hand painted by the end) over the contact paper and the area that surrounded it. this took him quite a while and kept him entertained.
this is what it looked like when it was completely covered. we waited patiently for it to dry...and then we peeled off the contact paper and were left with this cute turkey picture. i plan on displaying it proudly at our thanksgiving tomorrow! i'm actually thinking about cutting it and putting it in an 8X10 frame so i can pull it out every thanksgiving.
while he was painting i was busy working on these...i saw them on pinterest and i wanted to make them right away. however, my right away turned into months later...but i finally did them!
i haven't done kenna's hand prints yet because i'm afraid it will be challenging to get her to put her hand on the glass and hold still. i'm still debating, but right now i'm leaning towards waiting until she's older. we'll see...i might add a picture to hers until i do her hand prints...what do you think?
both of these pieces of art cost me next to nothing. i bought the frames at a garage sale this summer for 50 cents a piece. i already had the vinyl and spray paint on hand to transform them into a black and pink distressed frame. i'm very happy with the way they turned out and can't wait to get them put up in their rooms!
and as an added bonus...this project has helped me complete another item from my 30 things list! yes! :) if you don't know what 30 things is, you can see the original post by clicking the link.
#18 Completed: incorporate more scripture around my house
i already have a few other projects up my sleeve to get even more scripture up, but i'm excited to be able to check off something from my list. it's been a while! i'm still working on many of them and hope to have the entire list done by june!

This post is so cute! I love your craftiness and to share that with Greyson is so fun! All your projects turn out so adorable! So glad you enjoyed your time off!!
Too cute! What a fun day and it looks like you got some projects accomplished. I actually bet you could get Kenna to hold still long enough if you keep her distracted. And itty bitty handprints are pretty adorable! :)
