miracle on main and market street

the Christmas season has officially started...santa came to town!  miracle on main and market street was this weekend and we had a little three year old that could not believe his eyes.  :)  we made it in time to see the last half of the parade which was the most important part since santa was at the end.  we listened to the mayor read the Christmas story, sang carols, visited the live reindeer, ate some yummy homemade amish cookies and drank some delicious hot cocoa.  i love that we live in a small town and get to do some neat things as a community.
watching the parade...specifically santa on top of the fire truck

enjoying hot chocolate and all the lights

my sister, the kids, and i spent the day in indianapolis.  i met up with lish, tara, and amanda while jen stayed with the kids at my brothers.  we ate lunch and visited and then i went and picked up my sister and kenna and we went shopping for the afternoon.  it was nice to see my brothers and college friends.  the kids did great traveling too.  we got home a little after seven which is when the parade started. i thought maybe i could talk greyson out of going, but there was no way that was going to happen so he and i took off! it was a great way to spend the day!

That looks like a blast! We'll have to next year. I didn't know all that was going on. I thought it was just a parade (which I'm sure the kids would've loved too). What a busy day!!
