friday night we got to meet baby elijah. he traveled all the way from greensburg just to see us! well, maybe not just to see us, but who's keeping track? he was very content and seemed to enjoy his visit to the davis ranch. here is heidi, kenna, and elijah all playing together on the floor. really, kenna was trying to take heidi's paci. look how small elijah looks next to the girls.
saturday our family and some friends spent time at the laundry mat. no, not to do our laundry, but to pay for other people's laundry! it was fun to see their reaction, asking if there was a catch or simply saying, "why would you do that?" i had some fun conversations and enjoyed talking to the various people. greyson made a friend with a little girl whose mom was doing laundry. he came back with some candy and chips...maybe it's time to talk to him about not taking things from strangers!?! ;)
the people we encountered at the laundry mat have been on my mind and i hope as they think about what we did for them, they realize that we were simply showing them love because of the ONE who LOVES us. i was truly blessed by being able to serve with my family and friends! i think visiting the laundry mat is going to become more of a regular event for us. i'm excited!
