spring break

i have enjoyed the week at home with greyson. we spent time spring cleaning which i love to do. there is nothing better than a clean house from top to bottom! greyson loved to "help" me when i scrubbed the walls, dusted the trim, washed windows, and swept the carpet. i didn't get as many rooms done as i had hoped so there will be plenty of work waiting for me when summer break starts!




we got out our beach towels and had our first picnic of the season together. he loved this and asked to eat outside the next few days too. these are the special memories that i will treasure forever. he sure knows how to find joy in the little things.



later in the week, rachael and tara came to visit with their little ones. we took the kids to mcdonald's so they could play and then came back to the house to hang out. it's always fun to catch up with college friends. the kids all played really well together and seemed to enjoy their time. they all skipped their naps for the day so by late afternoon they were all on the cranky side. this is the best picture we got of all of us. not too bad for a bunch of cranky kids!

we also bought furniture for upstairs, went shopping, celebrated greyson's second birthday (pictures and post coming), spent a lot of time with family from north carolina, and went on four wheeler rides. greyson is becoming quite the momma's boy, so i'm sure a few tears will be shed as i have to go back to work. however, i am thankful for the week off and the fun that we had. :)
