He is Risen, He is Risen Indeed!

today is a day of celebration!
Jesus died on the cross so that we may live! the cool thing is that the story doesn't end there. he also rose from the dead!! i serve a mighty, loving God who gave us his son. i am always overwhelmed by his greatness and sacrifice for each and every one of us. if you don't have a personal relationship with Jesus, please talk with someone! you are missing out! our day was busy, but full of family, worship, and fun. :)

greyson woke up bright and early like most days. we got him ready for church and then gave him his Easter basket. i was very proud of myself and spent very little money! :) most of the items were from the dollar bins at target and then i splurged on a book about the meaning of Easter.

john also has an easter basket, but ever since we moved it has been missing in action. i'm guessing it's still in one of the boxes that we have in the basement. one of these days i'll go through all those boxes and throw away everything in them since we obviously can live without whatever is in them! :) anyway, john enjoyed his giant reese's easter egg!

we went to breakfast at church and then worshipped. i am always amazed by how many people come on Easter sunday...our attendance doubled. it makes me sad because i just wish they knew how much they were missing out on the rest of the year. after service they had an egg hunt for the kids but greyson didn't get out there in time. some of the older kids gave him a few of their eggs, but he didn't really care. he was more excited to play on the playground. since john counts money, we stayed out there the entire time and had a ball together. unfortunately, john didn't know that we were outside and didn't see us in the church so he assumed we went home with my parents. all of a sudden i look over to where our car should be and it was gone. john left us there! he didn't have his cell so he got all the way home and was doing work before i finally got a hold of him. he felt really badly, but i really didn't mind...i thought it was kind of funny!

we took some photos before heading to my grandma's to celebrate and spend the day with family. holidays always mean eating too much, no nap for greyson, and two tired parents. it was a great day though!

today was a day of celebration! thank you Jesus for all you did for me.

I love your family picture! You all look so cute. Easter is such a wonderful time of year and sad for people who don't know the true meaning. Glad to hear you had a great time (even though you got left at church! :) ).
