Memorial Weekend

over memorial weekend i had the opportunity to find out what it is like to be a single parent! this was no easy task for four days. i was worn out by the end and very ready for john to come home and take over for a while. don't get me wrong...i enjoyed spending the extra quality time with greyson and made me look forward to the summer even more, but it was a lot of work!

greyson and i kept busy by going to grandma and grandpa's and also hanging out with the frye's at the lake. they were wonderful host and let me stay all day! we had a surprise arrival of little emerson hahn to visit at the hospital. greyson cried the entire way to the hospital. i'm sure jess and amos were ready to kick us out of the car! i think he was hungry...i should have known. thankfully when we got there alicia hadn't eaten all of her lunch and had some cold fries. greyson ate quite a few and seemed content the rest of the time. emerson is such a sweetie and turned out to be a good sized baby! :)

after visiting emerson we went back to the frye's for a cookout and enjoyed a ride around the lake. greyson got so excited when he saw the water and while cruising the lake he wanted to jump over the side. it took lots of energy just to keep him in the boat! we topped the evening off with a campfire and smores. thanks for a wonderful day/evening jess, amos, tyler, and grace!
