one of those days...

friday morning i woke up and knew it was going to be one of those days before i even left my house. i managed to fall with greyson in my arms, thankfully me taking most of the fall, but i also had one scared boy! i called john and told him i hoped this wasn't an indication of how my day would go. little did i know, it was only the beginning. without going into details, i arrived at work to find an email from a parent. i spent most of my prep time on friday morning and afternoon talking to my principal about the situation (which he was so supportive of and totally backing up my choices-so that was good). i emailed john and told him that i was not having a good day and couldn't wait to go out on our date that evening. when i arrived at home, he had a dozen roses laying on the counter. i was very surprised. he said he wasn't planning on getting me flowers, but since i was having a bad day he thought they might cheer me up a little. :) what a sweetie i have!

that night we dropped greyson of at the frye's and went to dinner. it was enjoyable and the desert was fabulous. what i enjoyed the most was just being with john. it seems we don't have much alone time now that we have a child. it really is a special occasion when we get to go out without him. thank you to jess and amos for babysitting! we really appreciated it!!!
saturday grace and tyler came over and we watched them while jess and amos went out. it was enjoyable to see what it would be like having three kids (although, i want five...:) ). john was home some of the time, but i also had the three by myself some of the time. of course, my child was the most challenging! grace and tyler were perfect and fun to entertain. they were probably asleep more than they were awake also...so maybe i didn't get to see what it would really be like with three children! ;)
even though my weekend started out on the bad side, i'd say it turned out pretty good. thank you john for being a wonderful husband!! happy valentines day...a little late!

Greyson was an angel at our house and like I said...whenever you want a date with your husband, just give us a call :) Thanks for watching our hooligans :) They had a blast and I am glad they behaved themselves :) Love ya!!!

I'm so glad that your whole weekend was not determined by how your Friday was at school! What a sweet husband though to brighten your day!! And if you really want five kids, wait a few months and you can baby sit the 2 Fryes and the 2 Hahns along with Greyson!! HA!! :)
