greyson and jonah went turkey hunting during youth season. since greyson had already had an apprentice license for two years, he had to take a hunters safety course to be able to get a license. he started it during covid last year but never finished it. so he had to start all over. he and jonah started working on it around 5 pm and didn't finish until 3 am. the course had timers on it so you couldn't just skip through things. if you failed the test, you had to take that section over. greyson refused to read anything. instead, he'd just take the tests after the time had passed. while they were doing the course, they were watching movies and messing around. he passed the first few with no problem but then started failing some of them. he refused to read anything and i kept trying to tell him if he'd actually read it he'd have no trouble. apparently, moms don't know what they are talking about. he finally passed and got the certificate he needed to get his license. unfortunately, when john tried to get the license, it didn't work and it was discoverd that he had to wait for it to be mailed. hopefully he learned a lesson about procrastinating! greyson couldn't actually shoot a turkey, but jonah did!
school wrapped up before memorial day which was so nice! the year went surprisingly fast and was pretty low stress after the first few months when we were trying to create things for canvas for our remote learners. i loved that we didn't have any data wise, pointless meetings, and could wear jeans every day. hard to believe i've finished out another year in third!
