december is such a busy month. sometimes i love it and sometimes i'm left feeling drained and exhausted. i've been a little more stressed than normal lately so John suggested we stay the entire weekend in grand rapids. i tried to convince him that it wasn't necessary but he insisted.
i took off work on friday so i could give my mom a break before having the kids all weekend. kenna still had preschool but we had a great day doing fun things. she really wanted her toes painted and wanted to paint mine even more. she loved it (thankfully it's too cold for sandals because they look pretty bad ;)). graham was his naughty self, getting into everything and easton was his laid back self. we had a great day despite the many messes. they are starting to let their personalities really show.
on our way up we stopped at the newly constructed outlet mall. it was so nice and it wasn't busy at all since it was later in the evening. we were able to knock out quite a bit of gifts. we met up with several of john's coworkers at a bar for dinner. it was a late night but we enjoyed it.
saturday morning we slept in! it was amazing! we met some of john's coworkers for a late breakfast and then went shopping at another mall and target.
we had a great time at the meeting/party. john didn't win any awards even though he had another great year. we listened to some comedians, who were actually really good and then we saw andy grammer in concert. we had front row seats thanks to troy and michelle. he put on a great show! greyson was jealous when he found out because he really likes andy grammer.
sunday we has to rush home because greyson was in a play at church. he had a few lines and had a solo/rap so we didn't want to miss it. we laughed through his entire song. it was too cute!
