{spring break fun}

greyson had his very first spring break. he's a big fan now and it has us longing for summer! we mostly spent the week doing normal, everyday things but we managed to throw in some special things too. his friends, tyler and grace spent tuesday and wednesday with us. he enjoyed having friends to play with and i only felt slightly nuts having six kids!

wednesday night the kids went to chuck e. cheese with the church. we were originally going to go but they had plenty of adults to help so john and i had an unexpected date night (twins in tow). 

we  met case, brooke, and laura at little paws for a picnic lunch and play time on friday. it was a perfect day and we all got our first sunburn of the season. :( i always forget how powerful the sun is in the spring. after john got home we went on bike rides and walks and had lots of family time.

due to a spontaneous conversation john had at work, we got out our pop-up because someone was interested in buying it. the kids were beyond thrilled to be reunited with it after the long winter. since it was nice outside john, greyson, and kenna decided to camp-out in our driveway. i honestly didn't think they would stay out there all night but they did! 

on saturday we took the kids to the zoo since we have a membership again this year. i am determined to use it more since we failed miserably last year (we only went once and didn't even get the money's worth. we felt awful since it was a christmas gift!). the weather was nice and we even busted out the shorts! of course no zoo trip is complete without playing at the park! it was a fun morning. the twins slept through the whole thing!

sunday we went to grandma barb's and the kids decorated eggs and had an easter egg hunt. always lots of fun!

greyson was less than thrilled to get up today to go to school and i secretly have a countdown going on until he's home with us for the summer! :)
