{happy birthday kenna: three years old}

happy birthday precious kenna! you are such a joy and we love you very much.  you turn three today...wow! your vocabulary is growing daily and you love to talk! you enjoy playing with your big brother and you adore your little brothers.  you can be as sweet as can be one minute and the next you can have an attitude like no other.  you have mastered the hands on your hips and stomping of your foot when you are upset.  you even have "the look" to let others know to back off.  i'm not proud of this, but i hope someday your stubbornness will be used for good.

you want to go to school and talk about it a lot. you love to play by yourself-especially with your doctors bag and your castle. you have quite the imagination and love to make up stories and songs.  you are brave and love to jump off of anything you shouldn't.  you are very particular about things...your clothes, the way your socks are put on, the way your blankets get put on you at night, etc.  it took a long time for you to be potty trained but we finally had a break through in december.  you still wear diapers at night but we are getting there.

you love playing dress up and with princesses and dolls.  you eat when you want to but there isn't much you don't like.  you love to stay in your pajamas all day long! you take after your brother and are very animated. you talk with your eyes.  you love going to church and telling me about the stories you learned.

you love to be outside and aren't afraid of getting dirty, but when you are eating, you can't stand your hands to get messy.  you say please and thank you and ask for forgiveness if you do something wrong. you can sense when someone is not happy and want to make it better with a kind word or a hug.
