i have made it to the 37 week mark which means the babies are considered full term twin babies! this pregnancy has been so different from my other pregnancies. i have had to have appointments every two weeks through out the entire pregnancy. i have also had to have ultrasounds every month. everything has been great, although i'm over the appointments and ultrasounds! :) at my last ultrasound, they said the twins legs are short. i'm thinking they are going to take after my side (greyson and kenna have been off or very high on the charts for both height and weight). my mom reminded me of the "stutzman stumps" that come from my dad's side, so we'll see how long they really are once they are born. baby a weighed 6.5 lbs and baby b weighed 5.6 lbs. The tech did say she could be measuring baby b on the smaller side because of his position and how scrunched up he is. either way, they will be perfect!
physically this pregnancy has been much different too. with the other pregnancies i had skin irritations throughout the majority of the pregnancies, and i have not at all with the twins. i also had more acne with the others and not this one (still have more than normal but nothing like i did with kenna and greyson). i was however much more sick during the first and the beginning of the second trimester with the twins than the other two. i have gained less at this point but it will probably end up being about equal as i did with kenna and greyson. i am thankful for this but also surprised. you would think i would gain much more with two than with one! up until about 35 and half weeks I've felt really good. now i feel as though i'm fading fast. i feel exhausted after doing the smallest things and my belly gets in the way a lot. john and the kids have been really helpful and the expectations are low for what gets done in a days time. i don't remember feeling this exhausted with greyson or kenna.
greyson and kenna are excited one minute and then the next they will say things like "i don't want my baby brother's to come." greyson has been very emotional lately and i think it stems from knowing that the babies are coming soon. i hope they adjust quickly.
it was confirmed that i will have to have a C-section (unless they miraculously turn in a week) and it is scheduled for jan 22nd. i'm not thrilled about the C-section at all, but i have no control over it so we will just roll with it. we have lots to do before then-one of the car seats is still in the box in the basement and we still don't have definite names if that gives you any idea. ;) hopefully they don't decide to come early but we are very excited to meet them if they do!

I'm so glad you decided to document some of your thoughts. It will be neat to go back and look at. I can't wait to meet these two little boys. I'm sure they'll be perfect no matter when they come or what size they are. You are one super momma!!
Aww <3 you're probably cuddling them right now!
